Rowan Edaire Baird is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. William Baird (or Bill and Rhonda Baird) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is currently a freshman at Ole Miss where she studies Mechanical Engineering, and is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s Academy in Baton Rouge. Rowan is a member of the Ole Miss Equestrian Team competing as a Hunter/Jumper rider. She is an initiated

member of Phi Mu Sorority and is active with their Philanthropy, Children’s Miracle Network and their local Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN. Fundraising for Le Bonheur Hospital and the “Children’s Miracle Network Danceathon” is one of her favorite pastimes.

As an avid equestrian, Rowan enjoys spending time and volunteering with local equine therapy sessions including Hearts and Hooves in Baton Rouge with BREC’s Farr Park team as well as spending time at Hunter’s Edge Stables in Memphis, TN. She also enjoys participating in fundraising events for the Ole Miss Equestrian Team in Oxford, MS.

Rowan is the oldest child in her family and has one younger brother, 13 year old, Jackson Baird. Some of Rowan’s hobbies include: traveling, dancing, and watching her younger brother, Jackson, play basketball, baseball or any other sport! She also enjoys playing with her two golden retrievers, Rebel and Baylor when she is home from college – especially taking them on rides in her jeep.

Rowan was presented as a debutante in the Court of Krewe Mystique de la Captiale 39 in 2015. She enjoyed participating as a debutante and is honored to be Queen of Krewe Mystique for the 2017-2018 carnival season with King Chadwick Kenney-Possa and the entire royal court and pages.
